In an effort to fight unemployment, and create job opportunity for competent graduates, the Onigbongbo Local Council Development area created a job centre sometimes ago.
In this vein,the job centre committee was inaugurated yesterday by the Chairman of the Local government, Honourable Idowu Obasa. He emphasized the main purpose for the creation of the job centre is to provide employment for job seekers in Onigbongbo Local council Development Area.
According to the Chairman, “the creation of this kind of committee underscores the importance of the management to the challenge to tackle unemployment.”
He beseiged the committee members to try their best in making sure that unemployment is reduced to the barest minimum. The committee members are Honourable Seyi Lawal, Honourable Camil Rufai, Honourable Rotimi Ikudehin, Honourable Francis Nkwo, Mrs. Adetokunbo Seton and Mr. Olanrewaju Lanlehin.”
The objective of the job centre is to create a link between employers and job seekers. The job opportunities are not going to be limited to the confines of Onigbongbo, though the beneficiaries are strictly job seekers in the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area constituency.
