DEPUTY LEADER: HONOURABLE WAHAB AKERELE
On the 6th day of April, 1973, Hon. Wahab Akerele was born to the family of Bamisebi Akerele of Onigbongbo town, Lagos State.
His educational background started from Saint Francis Primary School, Maryland. He attended Immaculate heart Maryland, the Apostolic Church Grammar School, Ketu and S. T. A. International College, Jibowu, Lagos for his Secondary education.
He later obtained Diploma in Desktop publishing and engineering both from Lagos State Polytechnic.
Initially, He played football as a hobby before talking it up as a profession. At this level he played for golden Star Maryland, Federal Ministry of Aviation Lagos, V.I. P. F. C. Popularly known as Obanta Football Club, stationary stores of Lagos.
He also had the opportunity of professional football trials in Spain (Malaga FC, a Division I Club).
Further working experience took him to Messrs privilege Nigeria Limited, a major contractor with the Nigeria Ports Authority. He was employed as a supervisor and was obliged to oversee the construction of part of Egan awarded to the company by the former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
His entry into politics was not accidental as his father was a renowned politician in Lagos. His father, Alhaji Hassan Akerele,( a.k.a, Baba Onigba) was a councillor in the then A.U.P.N party in Odi-Olowo-Ojuwoye, during administration of Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande as Governor of Lagos state.
He was elected as a councilor representing Onigbongbo ward November 2008 and subsequently appointed as the deputy leader of the Council.
