Honourable Prince Olorunfunmi Ayinla Taofik was born to the family of Oba Lamide Olorunfunmi, the Olu of Oregun (Olabisi 1) on 3^rd April, 1980.  His father was a great farmer and a multi talented Entrepreneur of  both property management and investments.

Hon. Prince Taofik Ayinla Olorunfunmi attended Olusosun Primary School (1994).  In his bid to acquire higher education, he proceeded to University of Lagos to acquire a Diploma in Computer Information Technology in the year 2001. He went further to acquire a Diploma in Social Development and Administration between 2003-2005. Upon graduation as a social worker, He went to work as a manager to Oscar Lux Motor, Aba and as a Consultant to I. U. O MOTORS, Anambra.

He contested for Councillor in the 2007/08 election and won. He was sworn into office by the Amiable Chairman, Honourable Idowu Obasa, the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area.  He became the majority leader and Chairman House Committee on works, Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area.
