HONOURABLE OLUWAFUNMILAYO AYOOLA (CHM. HSE. CMTTE.)
Ayoola Oluwafunmilayo was born on the 9th of August, 1970 in Ikeja, Lagos State to Arch Zadock, Ayoola Oresanya who retired from the federal civil service, Ministry of Works and Housing. Ayoola Oluwafunmilayo started her elementary school education at Holy Trinity Primary School, she obtained her primary school leaving certificate at Baptist Primary School, Ogbogbo, Ijebu-Ode from 1977-1978. She gained entrance to Baptist Grammar School Ogbogbo Ijebu-Ode for her secondary school education while at Baptist Grammar School she was an active member of the Boys and Girls Brigade, a member of the literary and debate society and an active labour prefect of the school, in 1988 she sat for her West African Examination.
In 1989, she joined the Federal Civil Service Ministry of Defense; she voluntarily retired to go in to full-time politics in 1991. She was also an activist. She had a Diploma certificate in Computer Science. She is presently an undergraduate in Lagos State Polytechnic studying Accountancy. Ayoola Oluwafunmilayo a born Leader and this trait was identified early in her life. She has contributed to the development in her Local Government and the State. She is a socialite, a donor and achiever.
A politician of Repute, Her foray for politics made her join Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 1991. She has been a member of Alliance for Democracy (AD) since its inception in 1999; she was appointed one of the Executive Committee of Ikeja Youth as the Treasurer group Ikeja Local Government in year 2000. Before her subsequent election as the 1st Vice-Chairman Ward I, Ikeja Local Government and in 2003 she contested as Councilor Ward B( G. R. A.) She was elected as the Vice Chairman Ward B (G.R.A.) Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area in 2004 – 2006. She was also one of the state delegate in 2007 Gubernatorial election that brought Babatunde Raji Fashola as the Governor of Lagos State. In 2008, she was elected as the councilor of ward B, G.R.A in Onigbongbo Local Council development Area.
She has contributed towards Youth and Women Empowerment through the establishment of Poverty Alleviation Programme by Honorable Babatunde Ogala a of member Lagos State House of Assembly representing Constituency 1, Ikeja. She has also contributed in the formation of Street Sweeping Gangs (SSG) in Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area.Through her active participation in the legistlative matters 50 widow were given empowerment by the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area, Honourable Idowu Obasa in her Ward B,G.R.A .
